Virtual Tour of Moat Farm Infants School

Moat Farm Infant School is situated in a pleasant site, surrounded by gardens, grassed areas and trees, which are shared with Moat Farm Junior School. The school has a no smoking policy both within the school buildings, grounds and the playground.

Built in 1938 the school comprises of twelve classrooms. Children’s toilets and administrative offices are contained in side wings at either end of the corridor. There a number of teaching rooms along the corridor including small group intervention rooms and the school. The whole school is built around the playground area, making it very easily supervised. All play areas have fences and gates which are closed when the children are in school. The children are grouped into classes, all named after British wildlife, according to admittance years. All classes are of comparatively equal ability ranges.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage, occupies a separate purpose built building.  Our Early Years Foundation Stage offers 2 year old, 3 year old and 30 hours Nursery places and 120 Reception places. Children usually enter the Nursery at the earliest opportunity following their third birthday. They are admitted into the Reception classes in the September following their fourth birthday. These two years are part of the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS). The children are brought into the main building regularly to participate in music, assembly, stories and visiting entertainment (e.g. theatre groups, puppets etc.)
